Azerbaijani, Turkish FMs mull situation in earthquake zone

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu had a telephone conversation on February 16.

During the telephone conversation, the ministers discussed the latest situation of rescue operations in the earthquake zone and delivery of humanitarian aid.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov once again conveyed his condolences on the death of many people as a result of the earthquake and wished recovery to those injured.

Bayramov said that Azerbaijan stands by brotherly Türkiye in these difficult times, as always, and will continue its support in eliminating the consequences of the earthquake.

He confidently expressed his belief that Türkiye will overcome this difficulty with dignity.

During the telephone conversation, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu also gave detailed information about the latest situation in the earthquake zone and the progress of rescue operations.

The ministers also exchanged opinions on the current situation in the region, and other issues of mutual interest.
